Canadian Tuxedo

Hey everyone, hope this Monday is treating you well! To start off the week I thought I'd confess something. I am a fan of the denim on denim look - the "Canadian Tuxedo" if you must. I know it's a lot of denim, but I've always been a fan of jeans, from shorts to jackets, so why not wear it all? I am not suggesting that everyone starts dressing like Britney and Justin circa 2001, but I think a little denim on denim can be a great look! What do you think, would you ever try it? Personally, I think I'd do a light chambray and ripped denim like the always fabulous Olivia Palermo did.

Closing In

Whew! This week flew by, don't ya think? I didn't make it to the beach as much as I would have liked, but hopefully next week I'll be able to go! Father's Day Gift Guide

Father's Day is right around the corner - this Sunday to be exact! So don't forget to get your dad something special! I have a few things planned for when my dad comes in town, but all of these are great gifts if you're struggling to figure something out for your dad. In fact, they've all been approved by my dad. While he loves them all, he's eyeing the Frank Clegg leather duffle. As for my other picks he swears by Kiehls moisturizer because he travels so much. He is also a devoted fan of Allen Edmonds - he refuses to wear any other kind and has several pairs, including the ones I featured. Lastly, he is a huge fan of Suits, if you haven't watched it, we highly recommend it!

Brighten Up

I posted this photo on my Instagram a couple weeks ago and whenever I need a pick me up I look at this photo! It's so bright and colorful and it fuels my new obsession with succulents. 

However, that is not what this post is about. It is about trying new things and being positive. Starting this blog was a huge step out of my comfort zone, but I'm so glad that I did. I do take TBB seriously, but not too seriously! ...because blogging is supposed to be fun, right? Having said that, TBB means a lot to me and I hope it will eventually mean a lot to others! 

So, with the arrival of the new TBB upon us - I was told it will be next week (fingers crossed) - I would like to turn it over to all of you. What do you want to see on here? ... see less of, or more of! I've already thought of a couple things... more photos, less collages, but I want to hear from all of you!

I am on a major shoe kick lately! I've ordered two new pairs in just the last couple of weeks and I already have my eyes on more! No word on the new TBB, but this roundup should keep you busy shopping for a while!

We're four days into June and I haven't properly welcomed the month in so I thought this would be the best way to-do so! 10 things that I love about June!

T E N   T H I N G S : 

1 S'more Season. This really doesn't even need to be explained, I mean, who doesn't like s'mores?!
2 Peonies. They are just beautiful, don't ya think?
3 Father's Day! My dad and I look very much alike, so I can't wait to have my twin home for daddy's day!
4 All White. I love all white ensembles! From jumpsuits to dresses and skirts and tops, all white in a June must do.
5 Summer time dresses are the best. Don't get me wrong I love all types of dresses, but summer frocks are my favorite.
6 Sunny Weather. As many of y'all know I'm spending the summer at my parent's beach house and so far June's temps have been quite nice.
7 Beach Days, simple and easy.
8 Paddleboarding. I am obsessed. I could do it everyday, especially when there's dolphins!
9 Root Beer Floats. OMG, I love a good root beer float!
And last, but certainly not least, 10. The new TBB debuts!!!!!

Summer Concert

A lot of people have requested that I do a "lookbook" post for a summer concert so this is what I would ideally wear! That Proenza Schouler Fringe PS1 is to die for. I hope this is helps some of you and that y'all like this look! Feel free to request other outfit ideas by simply commenting or emailing me!

The Best

I finally made the chocolate chip cookies that Emily swears by and oh my goodness gracious are they good. Perfectly crisp, yet chewy and gooey - pretty much everything you would ever want in a cookie. If you haven't tried out this recipe yet, I highly suggest you do. They truly are the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had. Trust me on this one! If you want a more detailed recipe, click here.
